Embark on an epic adventure through the majestic Himalayas with our Rupin Pass Trekking Tour combined with the Rupa Valley to Spiti Valley Trek. Traverse cascading waterfalls, lush meadows, hanging villages, snow bridges, and glacier crossings. This tour blends adventure, serenity, and ancient culture—perfect for seasoned trekkers and nature lovers seeking offbeat experiences.
Itinerary
Day 1: Chandigarh to Dhaula (via Shimla) – 8-9 Hrs Drive
Pickup from Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station. Drive through scenic hills via Shimla, Narkanda, and reach Dhaula – the base of the Rupin Pass trek. Overnight stay in tents/guesthouse.
Day 2: Dhaula to Sewa (7,000 ft) – 5-6 Hrs Trek
Trek along the Rupin River, pass traditional villages and apple orchards. Reach Sewa, known for its beautiful wooden temple and welcoming locals. Camp overnight.
Day 3: Sewa to Jhaka (8,700 ft) – 6-7 Hrs Trek
A scenic trail with river crossings and pine forests. Reach the hanging village of Jhaka, often called the “Hanging Hamlet”. Overnight in tents.
Day 4: Jhaka to Dhanderas Thatch (11,700 ft) – 6-7 Hrs Trek
Enter the alpine zone. Walk through snow patches, waterfalls, and lush meadows. Set up camp in the magical Dhanderas Thatch.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day at Dhanderas Thatch
Explore nearby areas and acclimatize to higher altitude. Short hikes and rest day to prepare for the summit push.
Day 6: Dhanderas Thatch to Upper Waterfall Camp – 3-4 Hrs Trek
Short and steep climb to the upper waterfall zone. Camp surrounded by cascading water and mountain views.
Day 7: Upper Waterfall Camp to Rupin Pass Summit (15,250 ft) to Ronti Gad – 9 Hrs Trek
Early morning trek to conquer Rupin Pass. Panoramic views of the Kinnaur & Garhwal Himalayas. Descend to Ronti Gad for overnight camping.
Day 8: Ronti Gad to Sangla (via Sangla Kanda) – 6-7 Hrs Trek
Descend through lush meadows and pine forests to reach Sangla Valley. Transfer to hotel or riverside camp. Evening free to relax.
Day 9: Sangla to Rupa Valley to Tabo (Spiti Valley) – 8-9 Hrs Drive
Drive through Rupa Valley, cross Karcham Dam, and enter the magical landscapes of Spiti. Reach Tabo, home to the 1000-year-old monastery. Overnight in hotel/homestay.
Day 10: Tabo to Chandigarh via Nako & Rampur – 14-15 Hrs Drive
Early morning drive back to Chandigarh via Nako, Pooh, Rampur, and Shimla. Drop at Chandigarh by late evening.
