This exclusive trek takes you across the breathtaking Chanshal Pass (4500m) to the ancient, culturally rich villages of Dodra and Kwar, and optionally further to the dramatic Rupin Pass (4750m), ending in the fairy-tale-like Sangla Valley.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Larot (Base Camp)
Drive: 35 km from Rohru to Larot
Altitude: 2400m
Reach Larot by evening through a scenic mountain drive.
Check-in at the Forest Guest House or tented accommodation.
Leisure time for acclimatization and exploring the pine-lined ridges.
Overnight Stay: Forest Guest House / Camps at Larot

Day 2: Trek from Larot to Dodra via Chanshal Pass
Trek: 18 km | 7–8 hours
Highest Point: 4500m (Chanshal Pass)
Trek through deodar forests and velvet meadows to the summit of Chanshal.
Visit the ancient Chanshal Temple at the top.
Descend to Dodra, a quaint village tucked above the Rupin River.
Overnight Stay: Forest Hut / Camps at Dodra

Day 3: Trek from Dodra to Kwar
Trek: 8 km | 4–5 hours
Altitude: 2300m
Leisure trek through picturesque trails to Kwar, known for its spiritual and cultural charm.
Visit Kwar’s famous temples and helipad, and admire its wildlife displays.
Overnight Stay: Rest House / Camps at Kwar

Day 4: Trek from Kwar to Jakha (Optional Rupin Pass Route Begins)
Trek: 15 km | 6–7 hours
Altitude: 2600m
Trek along the Rupin River, crossing wooden bridges and lush terrain.
Reach Jakha, a spiritual village influenced by the Radhasoami faith.
Ideal point to relax or proceed towards Rupin Pass.

Day 5: Trek from Jakha to Saribassa (Rupin Pass Base Camp)
Trek: 15 km | 7–8 hours
Altitude: 3600m
Ascend through alpine forests and serene meadows to reach Saribassa, the base camp for Rupin Pass.
Enjoy camping under a canopy of stars with panoramic Himalayan views.

Day 6: Cross Rupin Pass to Sangla
Trek: 20 km | 8–9 hours
Max Altitude: 4750m (Rupin Pass) | Descent to: 2700m (Sangla)

Marvel at glacial valleys, scree slopes, and pristine landscapes.
Descend to the scenic Sangla Kanda and conclude your journey in Sangla Valley.
